OFFERED HERE  SPECTACULAR LYON AND HEALY OWN MAKE CHICAGO INSPIRATION TROMBONE LATE 1903 ALL BURNISHED GOLD PLATED HARP PORTRAIT FINISH 99% AMAZING ENGRAVING TO THE TOP.

NOTE : > Back in those days at Conn the Stenberg brothers were the top of the line engravers along with Conn’s earlier Jake Gardener.
Sometimes other companies hired them out to engrave for them. Not sure this could be a Stenberg or Gardner ? Some of the lines look like their style.
I think 24k gold plate too…cause Holton back then had affiliations with L n H and Holton plated 24k <

ONE OF MY GUROS SAID :
I found a March 1922 advertisement – apparently that company just made trombone weights. That suggests it is an “Improved Own Make” circa 1920. Their serial numbers reset with the advent of that name at the end of WWI. It might also indicate a shift to supplier production, and then a shift back when they bought Couturier in 1923.

10 This of course would be true if the owner bought the exact same counter weight when they first bought the trombone…or later
